Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional with white dial “Daniel Craig” – Professional watches

AAfter being teased months ago, Omega has now unveiled a new white-faced version of its most famous watch, the Moonwatch.

Not surprising after it was photographed and leaked by Omega on Daniel Craig’s wrist last year and teased on Omega’s Instagram page last week Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional, white dial – who many call “Daniel Craig” – is a real beauty.

With the existing 42mm x 13.2mm (47.5mm lug) stainless steel case (weighs 140 grams on a bracelet) only available in a sapphire crystal version, there is no Hesalite version.

The hour, minute, small seconds and chronograph display is powered by the same excellent Master Chronometer-certified Omega hand-wound caliber 3861 as in current Moonwatches, which features a Co-Axial escapement, a free-swinging balance wheel with a magnetic field-resistant silicone spring 15,000 Gauss. The movement is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback and features a rhodium-plated finish and Geneva stripe bridges.

So far there have been Moonwatches with a white dial, but only in limited editions (such as the Speedmaster 40th Anniversary Albino for the Italian market and a new edition of the Speedmaster Alaska) or as a precious metal model. In Omega’s standard catalog, this is the first Moonwatch with a white dial. Omega contrasted the bright white finish by printing “Speedmaster” in red, with a matching red tip on the chronograph seconds, and giving the hands and indices a matte black treatment that pairs with the solid black anodized aluminum tachymeter bezel attractive panda style aesthetic.

According to Omega, the dial design is “inspired by astronaut suits and the iconic ALASKA I prototype from 1969. The white dial features contrasting black details and a glossy finish – the first ever on a Moonwatch step dial.”

The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional White Dial “Daniel Craig” Ref. 310.30.42.50.04.001, as shown, with stainless steel bracelet, retails for $8,100. There are also options for a black rubber strap or a black perforated racing leather strap for slightly less money.
