Peach fuzz has been declared Pantone’s color of the year for 2024, which poses a challenge for the watch industry because so many other shades of pink are already in use.
There are salmon pink dials, rose gold cases, coral pink Rolex Oyster Perpetuals, Barbie pink TAG Heuers – the list is endless.

Maurice Lacroix reigns supreme when it comes to Pantone’s choice of peach fuzz.

It’s fair to point out that Maurice Lacroix was a bit lucky, as his peach fuzz Aikon automatic watches were released last year as a special summer edition, and their Clous de Paris patterned dials were described simply as “pink.”
But they are still on offer now and cost 2,550 euros. This gives you a 39mm steel sports watch with an ML115 automatic movement (a modified Sellita SW-200). The watch can be worn on a steel bracelet or a pink rubber strap.
If your budget is a little more limited, you can opt for a Maurice Lacroix Aikon #Tide Camo, which uses the same peach fuzz as its main color.
The quartz watches, which are made from recycled ocean plastic, cost 800 euros.
